I grew up in Southwestern North Dakota and am amazed at how the area has grown over the years. The city doesn't appear as frontier like as it did when we passed through in the early years of the oil boom but I would live here if I were looking for .

It's a working town dependent on the oil industry. Really convenient for the Theodore Roosevelt NP.
"Check in was great. Front desk employee was super friendly and competent. Room was small, but had kitchenette. While a bit dated, the furnishings were adequate and most importantly, bed was nice and comfortable, and room was very clean. Carpet looked a bit old, worn but it was brown and upon close inspection was pretty decent. No sit down breakfast, you could order a few things?? Didn’t quite get that part, and we didn’t use that service. Overall great value for the money."
"Professional staff at check in. Clean room. Stayed here before. Comfy beds. Worth every penny. I think they upgraded the property and rooms. Perfect to stay at if you plan to go to the Medora Musical 32 miles to the west. Easy access to I-94. Pool area looks nice. Great stay!"
"Adorable, spacious, clean, rustic & cozy. The walls & doors are thin, so if youre in the lodge, you may hear people coming/going/talking, but we liked it a lot!"
"Front desk lady provided excellent customer service . She was a little hard to understand but was very helpful and friendly. She made the stay nice with her personality and happy attitude. She not only ran the front desk but also everything else . They do need to buy new linen and white bath towels. Towels are very old and dingy. "
"Shah was so accomodating and patient when we checked in and just a wonderful and ...and my husband said the best e biscuits and gravy he jas wver had!"
