"Room was clean and beds comfortable, but furniture dirty. Bathroom shower was messed up and lukewarm water. Pool was closed and that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel."

"The hotel was clean, but it was easy to tell it was an older property that had been refurbished. In all three of the rooms that I reserved, the temperature control was basically non-existent and the rooms were all hot and we could not adjust the temperature. The breakfast buffet had several options, which were all fresh and tasty. The weekend bartender Joe was great. Funny, polite, good memory, and just an overall nice guy. Granted it was U of M Commencement weekend, but the price per night of the room was pretty high and certainly not worth what we paid. Would I stay there again? Probably- but only if the cost of the room was $400 less per night."

"Desk clerk at check in was patient polite and friendly. Room was clean and spacious for a budget motel but in our two bed room the window a/c heater was uncomfortably close to the bed. As is becoming typical in motels, the comforter was too warm and bulky and there was no blanket available. We would have to blast the a/c to be comfortable under one of those ironically named “comforters”. I don’t understand this trend. Mattress average. Breakfast very simple but adequate with boiled eggs, yogurt etc. All in all, still one of the best value accommodations in A2. Beautiful grounds on the south side of the building, great for strolling and observing the wildlife and wetlands. "

"The beds were comfortable and the room was cleaned. That’s the most important thing, of course. The room however is in need of some real updating. The toilet after flushing just ran forever until you shook the handle. The TV is not a smart TV and you could not even cast your computer screen to the in-room TV so we watched a big NBA playoff game on an iPad. Vending machines only took cash and of course with smart phones and credit cards many do not travel with cash. The hotel wifi was open source and no password was needed to access it making customers concerned about using the wifi. Bottom line the room and the property are in need of 21 first century upgrades."
