"The resort was in general quite good and the team were nice too, but it wasn't outstanding. For me a highlight is the plant-based restaurant Sala, were top food and drinks (very interesting cocktails) are served."

They can't arrange local transportation to carry luggage when we took seaplane. At our first dinner, we had to pay over $5000 dinner for 4, which was not explained prior to our arrival. "Maldives meets White Lotus. Dusit Thani was a dream destination. The lush vegetation and beautifully kept grounds were paradise. Although there were a ton of things to do (restaurants and activities), we chose to do absolutely nothing but relax and soak in the beauty of the island. The staff and service are 5 star. The food was so fresh and delicious. I would definitely return for a longer stay. "

"With intermittent strong monsoon rains and winds, the water came thru the doors in the common areas. We absolutely loved the food and staff and never thought twice about eating anywhere else. John, our host was absolutely the best! Kind, perceptive and always helpful. Admin was also incredibly responsive via email and ensured that all of our requests and inquiries were promptly addressed.
