"This hotel is for you if you want a rustic experience in the middle of the mountains on a very winding, steep and narrow road. I had a business meeting in the nearby town of Cours and thought that this little hotel would be a good place for the night before. It was fine for a one night stay but would be not so great for longer. "I love this place. Location was a little hard to see but once you found it easy to get back to it. The host was lovely very informative. Made reservations for dinner explained they eat late. Room was lovely, updated, clean, cozy, modern with a flair for French of old. Need new TV's that you can connect to Prime video and also Netflix so people from other country who need a different language. I would recommend !!! "

"The staff were very good. Welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant. Due to renovations the restaurant had moved to a room normally used for events. The meal was outstanding and service wonderfull. Would happily return just for the cuisine. Will look forward to comkng back after the restaurent is ready."

"The Hotel Les Saules is a wonderful hotel that is a must for that trip away for any reason. The staff are personable and welcoming; very professional. Vonnas is this beautiful little town in France that is a hot bed of culinary excellence and the gem of the hospitality industry. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well thought out. Our room looked out over the square of the town which also served as the parking lot for everything, yet it was part of the park. We had a balcony where you could order breakfast, but don't do that. Go to the breakfast they have at their neighboring restaurant. It must be a training ground for the next set of Michelin star chefs. The food was beyond amazing. It was not overpriced and worth every penny that you pay. Everything is fresh and delicious. NOTE: Make reservations in their restaurant in advance especially during the summer season. There are two types of services: the restaurant and the Food Tasting Menu. The restaurant is ala carte and the Food Tasting Menu is expensive, but if you are a foodie, this is your moment of joy. RESERVATIONS for either are a must. Everything is close by and quaint. Definitely a highlight of our stays."
