La Coquillade, without doubt the best hotel in Provence. An outstanding hotel in an amazing location. This is the third time we have stayed here in the last 12 months. Each time it is consistently exemplary in every way. The rooms, the service, the restaurants and food are all outstanding.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here after our wedding and it was everything we wanted and needed and so much more. Relaxing, peaceful, serenity. Jean-Baptiste (the manager) and his staff could not be more accommodating or charming if they tried. The room - very comfortable, clean and stylish with a Bluetooth speaker, big rain shower and robes, views were incredible to wake up and have your morning coffee in bed too. Truly an exceptional place. The house and our room (Naples) was like a dream. Even in winter where the outdoor facilities (pool etc) are not usable, there's nothing negative to say. It was worth the expense.

Absolutely breathtaking property, tucked away in the bustling city of Avignon. From the moment we arrived, Jean-Luc and Valérie were incredibly welcoming and couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable. We had the best night's sleep we've had in ages – the bed was so comfortable, and the whole house is full of charm and character. Gorgeous location and lovely staff. Super restaurant, great pool. Only drawback was that we worried our 2-year old might find his way into the fast-running streams running through the garden - beautiful but potentially dangerous.

The staff are first rate. Obliging, helpful, well informed. The property itself is very beautiful and the rooms we were all allocated we’re very pretty and meticulously clean the breakfast was very good with lots of local produce and the location is one of the prettiest villages in France. Highly recommended.

The online reviews swayed us to stay in this beautiful hotel. Initially we were a little reluctant because it is over the river from the main town of Avignon. We were only staying for one night before continuing our journey to Antibes and we didn't want too much hassle the following morning to get to the train station. It is a short walk to the bus stop and the local bus takes less than 10 mins to take you into the centre of Avignon. We were not disappointed at all and after an evening meal...

An amazing stay. The room was clean and spacious. The swimming pool area and gardens were immaculate and the quality of food and service at the restaurant was exceptional.
