"This was my family’s first stay at an AmericInn. We didn’t know what to expect but were surprised by the comfortable, clean and updated rooms. We had two pet friendly rooms on the second floor. All staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. This property is close to Walmart, gas stations and many dining options which was an added bonus. The pool area WITH water slide and hot tub is open from 0700-midnight. We, unfortunately, did not make use of it as it was overrun with children during our stay. There were many families with children staying there due to softball, tumbling and cheer tournaments. This usually wouldn’t bother me BUT a few groups of unsupervised children were running the halls of the first and second floor, up and down the stairs for much of the evening. This was annoying when it came to going to and from our rooms to go to dinner, bring up our belongings from the cars and take our dogs out. Thankfully the sound didn’t permeate into the rooms aside from when they knocked on one of our doors at 1100pm and proceed to run + hide. "

"Great little motel south of Rapid City. It’s just a quick drive to Rushmore and just a little further to Custer. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. The community gas grill and covered front porch with tables allowed us to save money and eat better by making our own meals. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Our stay at the Lodge was very nice. The property is beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable; especially the bed! We arrived at 2:00 pm and checked on our rooms and the lady at the desk said they had nothing ready for check in. We were there for a wedding and hoped to get in to at least one room early to change for the wedding. I know early check in is based on availability. Being told no was not the problem, her rudeness was. We went back 10 minutes later asking a gentleman at the front desk about the probability of getting into one of the rooms in time to change and he said both your rooms are ready. His kindness was greatly appreciated. "

"Staff was very friendly and helpful! House cleaning was great! Breakfast was ok. Mexican restaurant next door was good. Beds were so comfy! Rooms cleaned and spacious. Swimming pool is great for the kids and the 2 hot tubs were so nice and relaxing! One bad thing was we were on the 4th floor and water pressure was so low, it took about 30 minutes before you got warm water and you had to shower quickly because we would loose the warm water within about 10-15min. Overall this was a wonderful hotel to stay at!"
