"Before leaving our accommodation to head to this apartment, while still using wifi, I checked us in and the last communication was that someone would meet us at location for 330pm. The emails warned of penalties for a late check in time. When we arrived no one was there so we sat and waited...and waited..and waited some more. Eventually, we tried to phone the number that was provided. It didnt go through to anyone. The "free wifi" zone in Portofino was extremely dodgy. We ended up having to take...

"This review is for sister hotel next door at hotel Grand Savoia where we got upgraded. It’s great they let us check in early at 10 am coming from a cruise. A great 5 star hotel with nice reception desk and elegant lounge. Room was very nice clean and a good size except mattress was little soft. Train station and bus stops including bus for hop on hop off bus is just across."
