Nativo Lodge Hotel Albuquerque

6/10 Okay

"Interesting place if it were just my husband and I. It got a little awkward and uncomfortable when walking to our room and hearing loud sex from multiple rooms. Seems the place to go for adult fun but not so much with kids. The pool area was extremely slippery where several people fell including my son. The staff didn’t seem to know the correct hours for bar and restaurant either. Was told it closes at 9 every night by the front desk, went around 8:30 and it was already closed. Not the best experience and glad we stayed only 1 night."

"The accommodations were very good. My wife &I didn’t get down to the breakfast until 9:15, but we figure we could grab something anyway. Your breakfast staff was already taking taking down the food line and 20 after everything was put away. We scape up the last of the eggs and the last of the bacon. We did get some coffee. What happened to 9:30?"

"I've stayed here many times and generally find it to be excellent value with the convenience of a shuttle up to the Plaza, if desired. I love the Whole Foods next door. They have also adopted the "resort fee" as a way of increasing the room rate, which I find really disingenuous. Just price it in at time of reservation puh-lease. Rooms are well equipped, although lack a microwave. Separate vanity outside the bathroom which is decent, but the bathroom with toilet and tub/shower is tiny and, frankly, overdue for an upgrade. The main room seems to have had some modernization but the bathrooms were not done at the same time it seems. Generous breakfast, and the bar with patio and happy hour usually has live music and feels relaxed and festive. This visit, there was a bizarre mixup whereby after returning very late at night from my day out, my room key did not work. The office then told me someone else had been checked into my room, which was obviously very alarming. This turned out not to be the case and my belongings were still there, but the desk clerks were completely unable to sort this out on the computer or issue new keys and just had security let me into the room."

"Room was clean and staff were friendly on the 2nd night. The first night we got ignored by the desk agent and then when the other agent finally assisted us we asked for a quiet room and she placed us in the noisiest room available, right next to the kitchen and street window where their loading trucks are running along with loading. A lot of noise from banging and workers yelling. I would suggest you ask to see the room if you looking for a quiet room."
