"This is a lovely hotel. I debated whether to give 4 or 5 stars. There are a couple of quirky things though: 1) When turning out the lights at night in the room, it’s like lighting up a Christmas tree - everything has blue, red or green lights — the TV, the phone, the thermostat, the CO2 detector, the huge EXIT sign above the door…bring an eye mask! 2) Even though there is a thermostat in the room, it is not controlled by the guest…after several hours of attempting to set the thermostat, we...

The air conditioning did not work properly and we complained about it daily and multiple times each day. They kept trying to fix it to no avail. "Spent one night here on the way between Nafplio and Olympia, it was early March and still the off season so not many guests but staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was fabulous and the dinner we ate in the restaurant was delicious. Room was very nice, pleasant little balcony and nice sea view. Not too much to do here in the off season but we had a nice rest day (which is what we wanted) on the little (rocky) beach and drinking coffee on the patio of a cafe down the road "

"Golden Sun Hotel is in a truely gorgeous location. It is a delightfully quiet, restful place to swim (in both ocean and pool), read, enjoy the company of froends and marvel at the beautful view. The staff were pleasant to interact with and very welcoming. The facility is dated but in good condition and very well cared for. We very much enjoyed our brief stay and would enjoy a return visit!"
