Apartment is really well equipped with washing machine, drying closet, electric grill in the balcony and air conditioning which is rare in Finland. There was even apartment specific bicycles available. Vuokatti itself is a perfect destination for all possible outdoor activities. "Room was fine and reasonably large. Bed was comfortable. Didnt hear any noise from surrounding rooms. The room was fairly hot, but there was no air conditioning and the windows were bolted shut, which felt a bit prison-like. Luckily the helpful staff member gave me the key to open the window, which was a relief. The shower cubicle was a bit small. I kept banging into things (including the very hot hot water pipe at one point). They could have fit a bigger cubicle in there, so not sure why they went for a small one with rounded doors. Staff spoke good English and were helpful. They booked taxis for me no problem and as above helped with my window problem. Location was fine. Walking distance to the castle (though that was always crawling with youths, so I didnt get chance to have a proper look) and the little museum."

"The hotel can be found easily by the main road and is very close to the lake on the opposite side of the main street and shopping area. The room was spacious on the top floor. There were two toilets in the room. Windows could be opened which was good compared to other hotels we have stayed in Finland during this summer. There was also a fan to help with the airflow. Kitchen and fridge was in the basement in the shared area. Staff was not particularly helpful about the information on the hotel free bike rental and the use of the kitchen."
