"Cottage was gorgeous inside. Really great layout and lovely decoration. Great bifold doors, bathroom, beds very comfortable. Slight issue as parking is NOT included- have contacted Expedia/ Sykes cottages and the owner to get this changed. In the end we found we bought a couple hours at 8am and were out by 10 and not back til after 8pm so it was about £1.70 each day by PayByPhone. We had a brilliant stay in Anglesey and can’t wait to return-this was a brilliant base."

"Location was excellent but the main road was busy with cars parked on double yellow lines outside the entrance to the property. Nice modern apartment. We had to replace the batteries in the remotes as none worked . The yard needs weeding. The bedding was low quality. The first night was peaceful as there was no one if the flat above us however the second was dreadful. We could hear constant footsteps running up and down . Shouting and screaming kids. Tv was on full blast . Went on till gone 11...

"Absolutely amazing place...cant imagine more about this place...location-perfect...house-everyrthing we need and even more...relax...calm...nature...free in mind...after hard work in here we find absolutely peace and relax....its perfect for family ,friendly for dogs and small childrens...every morning we wake up with sound of sea...perfect...many place we been with family...but this cottage ....take our hearts...perfect 100%"

The Valley Anglesey

2/10 Terrible

"The room we were allocated was very dated and tired. The mattress was old, sagging and not comfortable. The bathroom was equally poor with black mould on the paintwork, loose loo roll holder, insufficient loo paper for two guests over two nights and not restocked! The drench shower was right over the bath tap controls and not thermostatically controlled. My wife nearly got scalded trying to adjust the over bath shower. No warning that the hot water was extremely hot (as an experienced plumbing and heating engineer, I would guess the hot was over 60°C). No grab rail was provided to assist entry into the quite high bath. The worst were the selfish bar staff who where dropping empty beer kegs and emptying tubs of bottles in a skip right under our window until 23.40! Value for money was poor bearing in mind the nightly rate. To be totally objective, there was one positive which was the nicely cooked breakfast. However, even that was tempered by lack of catering for diabetics/coeliacs. No natural unsweetened joghurt and no fresh fruit! Please spend your money wisely and do not waste your money here."

"The breakfast was a joke. At the bottom of the staircase on a table there were a few packet croissant, some boxes of cereal, some bananas and apples. The adjacent mini fridge had milk and orange juice. Bedroom nice but the thin flimsy curtains are no good - the bedroom is bathed in the early morning light and I found it difficult to sleep after sunrise"

"We had a very nice sized room for the three of us. We had a seaside view, and really appreciated that. The bathroom and shower were a good size as well. No problem with the hot or cold water, and loved the water pressure. Very clean and quiet (other than my 2 kids). The host was incredibly kind and very forgiving when our jet lag set in and we were extremely late for breakfast."

"Having stopped at this hotel before, we knew it would be good. Rooms are large and decorated to a good standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food was also good. Only one small negative for me, was the mattress. If either me or my partner moved slightly, it would move the other person, almost like a water bed, which disrupted sleep a bit. The previous room we’d stopped in had a better mattress"
