"First was booked on 31st floor - Room was huge and comfortable but very dated and A/C didn't work -After one night asked them to change me - they did without hesitation - new room on the 8th was smaller but wonderful and "new" - staff is great they really try. "Novotel Nanjing is an excellent base to explore the beautiful green city. My 4 night stay was comfortable and has access to the metro, shopping and plenty of options to eat. There is a convenient shop called Lawsons next to the hotel for miscellaneous snacks and drinks. Breakfast was included and there were Chinese and western options. The only downside of the breakfast was that the menu was pretty much the same every morning. My room was a decent size worth adequate amount of power points....

"As I read reviews of this hotel,it is like I was somewhere else. While the hotel staff were excellent the room was less then impressive. The bed was hard as nails, the carpet grossly stained and dirty, and taps in bathroom leaky,with water over the vanity constantly. I would not stay here again. The restaurant was expensive compared to Chinese standards but offered a good variety for breakfast. I did not have lunch or supper at hotel."
