"They cancelled our booking the day before we should have turned up for no reason. we followed the instructions when booking and called a week before and was told to ring when we were 30 minutes away to book in. then out of the blue while we were on holiday we got an email cancelling our booking which left us on holiday with no were to sleep so be warned when booking you may be left disappointed as nd trying to find other accommodation!!"

"This property is very centrally located and easy to get to the City and train station. Staff were very helpful and attentive. My lock in the suitcase was not working and they gave me tools for me to open it. I was happy otherwise I would have to tear my suitcase. Thank you"

"Part of the hotel is newly opened in a newly renovated adjoining building. I never stayed there. I have stayed in the old building. It has a pub open every day. A large beer selection on tap and the selection of food is well prepared. The rooms are very different (different sizes mainly, which can be selected in expedia when reserving. Most furniture is old-style, like the rooms, (not modern) but gives a nice "atmosphere". Beds new and comfortable. A very few rooms are special with micro and fridge, best to ask hotel directly for those rooms if needed. Also at least one room has a very nice sauna. Bathrooms I have seen/used are quite new and modern all tiled. Location is excellent 200m from railway station (no noise from trains), next to many restaurants and the small center of town and some university buildings, and several museums are within walking distance others reachable by tram (100m away, pay by credit card). Tram line is recently opened just to provide access to University and some very big international science complexes north of town center."

"I would like to rate this hotel a 3.5 but I can't. It is not the building in the pictures at all, that is a residence of some sort. The hotel is an old yellow building past that fancy building. The building greets you with ratty old carpet throughout and a very old elevator. The room was like a nunnery we stayed at in Italy once, sparse, with not a thing on the walls. The furniture is old and banged up. I thought it was an old dorm converted, only to learn that it had a heyday and has been around for years. The shower was weak and low pressure. The staff are rarely at the front desk. Breakfast was very minimal, probably because there didn't seem to be a lot of people staying at the hotel. To be fair, Lund itself seems to need an overhaul compared to other parts of Sweden. A plus, the pillows were lovely, the bed ok, and the staff very nice of you saw them. There's a heat rack in the bathroom and thank goodness because it's towel per guest which I always find so sillly. This place isn't cheaper than others in the area and doesn't deserve the 3 star rating at all. Really, it was fine but gives hostel vibes. "
