"The property is getting a little old in the tooth. The tram broke down while we were there. The property itself is still a very beautiful place. The one MAJOR problem we had was a "glitch" in their computer software. "Glitch" is the exact word that the person at the front desk used. This "glitch" cost me $55. I'm STILL trying to get this resolved! It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE getting a hold of a human being to help me. The unexpected $55 charge was taken from my debit card a FULL DAY AFTER we came back home. A property like this on the downside of what it once was... truly sad."

"Before booking this trip, I was debating on this hotel in Kona vs Koloa Landing Resort on Kauai island. We stayed at Koloa Landing a year ago and loved it. But I chose the Marriott based on my previous experiences staying at the Wailea Marriott on Maui island. In comparison, this Kona Marriott felt less fancy compared to the other two. My kids did enjoy the waterslide. But overall the pool area is okay because the house flies were relentless. No matter where you sat, they were landing all over you. While I feel spraying chemicals aren’t always the best resolution, there could be other options like electric traps or "

"Nicely renovated older property. Our room was dated but there were updates to lighting, carpeting, and bedroom. You can tell the place was once an amazing property as units are large with large kitchens. Something you don’t find in the reasonable rent options these days. Lots of things to do on site! Overlooks the ocean. The only negatives were the old cooling and ventilation system, which unfortunately gave the condo a musty smell and the complex is part of Wyndham vacation club so they will try to sell you on seeing another property and buying a timeshare. Overall, a nice stay, though. "
