"Excellent position in peaceful surroundings, right on the lovely beach with a large decked pool area. Good food in a very spacious dining area. We were in one of the huts in the garden which were just a short walk to the beach, beach bar, dining area and pool. Spacious, comfortable and very quiet. One slight negative: there are not enough parasols around the pool area. There was a local protest group blocking road access to the hotel for the duration of the stay. "Reception/check-in was pleasant and professional. Zenitude Hotel is divided in two main sections: Clipper and Residence Salako. I was in Clipper. This section requires a lot of renovation and clean-up. The bathroom was unbelievably dirty. There was mouldy grime between the tiles in the shower cubicle and the bathroom floor.I had to buy AJAX and a scrubbing brush to clean it off. The room was not so bad. "The resort is ver well staffed- there is always someone to assist with anything you need. They make good use of the very tiny beach but once you are in the resort you are a captive audience- nothing close by for eating, drinking, shopping, etc. we had a car but traffic was challenging and you certainly are not going to drive after a few beers 😳"

The food for breakfast left much to be desired, and the dinner options were very limited: either a tired buffet or a pleasant cafe at the water's edge with limited food options. "Lovely hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Staff is very kind and helpful. Shout out to Restaurant manager Anthony and Tom and the rest of the staff. One of the front desk staff was help us to book the island tour. We don’t speak French. It’s a bit difficult to book anything on line All in French. Overall we had a good time. "
