Find the best Chontales Department Hotels

We loved our stay here. We needed 2 nights, but booked one night, in case if we didn’t like it, we could just get another hotel. But when we got here, we fell in love with this property, and booked another night!! (You need to drive 2 miles dirt road, but then you are in paradise!!!) In my opinion, it’s the best hotel in Omatepe. (We drove around and looked quite few properties)

There are so many great things to say about this hotel. Beginning with the staff, which is almost always the most important part of a hotel, they were all great. Very professional and accommodating. They were always there when we needed them. The food was excellent. Every meal was a great experience. Our compliments to the chef! The building and grounds were so nice. Everything looked brand new, and was very well maintained. The pool was really nice. We stayed in the Magnolia suite. As a person who travels a lot, this room is way up on the list. Very spacious. It has a large secluded balcony with lounge chairs, recliners, a fully stocked mini bar (reasonably priced), and jacuzzi. The property is a 5min drive or short walk to restaurants and the boats that go to the isletas. It is also only about 15min to downtown Granada. Overall, we could not be more pleased with our stay. The weather wasn't great all the time. But, if we were locked in this hotel for our entire stay we would have still had a great vacation. We will be back...

Great location, quiet, laid back and friendly and accomodating staff - Alison was very helpful

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman that does the food and beverage service in the pool area. We rented a side-by-side quad one day to explore, even though we had a car. Lots of fun.

Hotel La Calzada was in a great location to experience the sights of Granada. Sean the owner was very accommodating and responded to any needs we had.

Everything was perfect

We had a nice stay overall. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. There wasn't any hot water, but that was only an issue with showering. But not having hot water was pretty common throughout Nicaragua.
