"I give Amphitryon Hotel 1 star because of the sea view from our room and it’s location, but our stay was terrible because:
1. Deceitful information on its web-site that said that the hotel, for a fee, offered a shuttle to and from the airport. Called them to ask about this and they gave me an email address to request the shuttle; I sent the email and someone at the hotel told me that they didnt offer this service but they could schedule a private driver on a Mercedes Benz for €210 each way. The web-site also said that there was free parking, so we drove and found that parking was on the street and if we didn’t find parking they would help us find parking.
2. Room conditions. The hotel is outdated and lacks proper maintenance. Our room had a bathtub, so we used it was advertised. We filled the tub, and water with dirt started coming out of the drain on the bathroom floor and a centipede came out of the tub drain. The bathroom flooded, we called reception and they gave us another room; the curtains in the room were also not working properly, they would stay stuck and it was hard to open and close withe the outdated buttons and mechanism used to move them. The 2nd room did the same thing with the bathtub, the curtains were also difficult to manage and the fridge didn’t work. We decided to cut our stay short and found another hotel to stay. I am still waiting for an answer from Expedia and the hotel about a refund for the 2nights we cut short for things out of our control."
