Lobby and rooms are beautiful, restaurant is very good, there is a very cute courtyard as well. The beds are very comfortable, the service is great and there is coffee in the lobby.

It was pretty, loved the style, but for $400 a night, I was expecting a top experience. The toilet was broken, and it took maintenance an hour to fix it, while we just sat there on the bed at 10 at night. They said we couldn’t change rooms because they didn’t have another two bed room. It ruined the birthday experience for my daughter, and the receptionist asked me if I reported it when I checked in…. No- I assumed the toilet was in working order. She gave me $50 off my $400/night stay. I was hoping for more since we paid a premium For the weekend, and had a crummy experience

I needed early check in and late check out and they were able to accommodate. The bar downstairs has good quick service and great food. Coffee shop also has excellent breakfast options.

I didn't like the rate!! Unfortunately, I had to be in town....next year Hotel Fort Des Moines or the Savory...are better options and value! All my friends paid half of what we did at the Surety.

The staff are super helpful and professional. The rooms are complete with all anyone would need without being super luxe - but I personally don’t expect super luxe but I do expect a great in-room bar, nice sheets, and nice bathroom products all in a clean, quiet room.

This was a last minute reservation when another hotel was not what it presented itself to be online and we canceled right there at the front desk of the other hotel. This was a one night stop and walked in to check in 17 minutes after making the reservation online. We were in the system and the front desk gave us multiple parking options by the hotel and was very nice. Definitely unlike our experience at the other place. I have never been to Des Moines before and told my husband this would be a great hotel to come back to when we travel west from Michigan.

This was a really cute hotel! We were able to walk to Wells Fargo Arena and some other bars. Fun time and easy to get around.

Beautiful upscale hotel in the heart of Des Moines! My stay was wonderful. Had a small issue checking in, and the front desk staff was very accommodating- even upgraded my room as a courtesy. Which was unexpected. I was staying in town for a photography gig, and a night out to myself. Very clean, and nice! Can’t wait to stay again. You’ll love it here!

Sat at the front desk for 5 minutes, hearing multiple front desk calls go unanswered before someone came up from downstairs to get me checked in. The floor in my room had a loose board in the flooring which was unsafe and caught my toe several times. The cable tv didn't work and when I asked the front desk they basically said they didn't know how to fix it. To park I have to drive to a unattached parking garage and validate every time . This hotel is a 3 out of 10 at best. The bar here was the only upshot as their tenders are very proficient.
