Jana& Mikes cabin was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and they had a nice big stand up tile shower with a ceiling rain head. Kitchen had everything basic you need. There was a coffee maker , kettle, tea and filters. We really appreciated the washer and dryer. There were 4 Adirondack chairs where you could sit out and enjoy the beautiful wooded area. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend their cabin.

Stay: Late-May, 2026 This place was fantastic! Perfect for what we were doing--a quick one-night stay in Talkeetna, and then on to Denali NP. This little cottage is every bit as quaint and charming as shown in the Expedia listing. The place is about 2.5 hours to Denali, so it's a great mid-stopping place to take in a great area. It's clean, well-appointed, aesthetically pleasing, and yet very utilitarian. If you're a couple just looking to "chill" for two or three days before you hit Denali NP hard--do it here. You won't be sorry. Take a nap, do some reading, binge a favorite show, take an incredibly beautiful hike, walk or stroll, rent a bike, work on your photography skills, whatever. Then head into town for breakfast, lunch or dinner and take in some great Alaskan culture. I'd do this place again without hesitation.

Very nice cabin with all the amenities of home. Very well stocked on local attractions shopping brochures. Yana and Mike are very quick to reply and willing to help to in any way. Would definitely stay again.

It was close to Talkeetna and everything we needed. I felt like I was in a 4 star hotel and the bed was more comfortable than mine at home. Jana was very gracious and left water, beer and snacks in the fridge. The only thing we missed was a bigger coffee pot. Would recommend this cabin if you are staying in Talkeetna.

This is a great cabin to call home base if you are exploring the Talkeetna area. Mike and Jana are excellent hosts and sent us a lot of info on dining options and road conditions between our starting point of Seward and Talkeetna. The cabin is very comfortable and having the luxury of a washer and dryer in the cabin was great when we arrived after three days of rainy weather. The cabin slept our family of four comfortably and my kids said they had the best sleep in this cabin in the 8 days we were in Alaska. There are a lot of thoughtful touches around the cabin to make your stay comfortable.

I had a lovely stay at the Talkeetna Mount Dall Cottage! Beautifully done cottage! I’m blown away! Would love to build something like this for my parents when they come stay with us. The cottage had everything I needed for my stay and the bed is so comfortable! I slept so good! Super clean and nicely kept. Excellent communication and worked with me on my request to stay an hour past checkout. Wished I could’ve stayed there more than one day though. This is the place to stay on my next trip to Talkeetna for sure! Thank you!

Perfect Getaway

Can’t say enough good things about this place - easy check in, beautiful and modern cabin, quiet location. It’s about 10 miles from downtown Talkeetna which has a few awesome reataurants and flightseeing companies. By far one of the best places we’ve stayed during our road trip.

This property is unusually posh and well-appointed. It's clean, quiet, comfortable, and in a beautiful setting. The owners were incredibly responsive. Twenty minutes before we were to arrive at the house, I realized I'd packed everything for our breakfast in the morning except butter to make our eggs. I texted Jana and Mike to see if there was some oil or anything in the house we might be able to use, with zero expectation that I'd hear back in time to save us from having to go hunting for a store in this rural town late in the evening. I heard back from them literally 2 minutes later, to say that they would leave us a stick of butter in the fridge, and they did. Shortly after we arrived, around 9pm, we had a problem logging into the WiFi. I texted them about it, and they again replied in 2 minutes, and fixed it right away. Wonderful place and owners. I would stay there again without hesitation.
