Holland America is really spread out but there is constant shuttle services for guests’ convenience. Two great onsite dine-in restaurants. Had meals at both and very nice. Lot of cruise guests who constantly have to navigate. Had a great room.

The pictures are not the type of room you will book. The room is more like a summer camp feeling room. You have to climb crooked steps and the couch is old like it's been there forever. The room itself was also crooked on the floor. Super bait with the pictures and switch to a crappy room. I would normally expect to pay 70.00 a night for the quality of this room, not 300.00!! On the plus side, the manager did switch us to a slightly more up to date room, still nothing like pictured, but better than the first room. The shuttle drivers were nice and there are a lot of activities on the property but we didn't use them due to time constraints. Overall, I would book elsewhere unless you like to waste money or if you can find this for 75.00 a night.

Hotel is a wilderness experience - laid out on wooded land with multiple hotel/lodging buildings throughout (accessible by walking and hotel shuttle). This really wasn't apparent from the photos. The room itself was clean but not maintained - the furniture finishes were heavily worn in the bathroom and the room was generally dated. No air conditioning so we left the window open with a fan on. There restaurant in the middle of the resort was 4.5/5. We would visit again if in the area again. It would be nice to park next to hotel room rather than park in front of property only.

While it was a decent place to stay, there are a few things to be aware of. First, parking is not the best. We were told to park in the front lot as there was no parking at the building our room was located. There’s a very steep road that we had to walk up and down to reach our car. Second, there’s one coffee shop in the lobby that opens early. But everyone wants a coffee so the line was 25 people long. The people working were very kind and friendly.

I loved the big clean rooms and comfortable beds especially after 2 days of backcountry hiking in Denali National Park, Each unit is divided into quiet mini compounds giving you a serene view of the Nanana River and Forested grounds.

We liked the buses that helped us get around the property. We liked the variety of restaurants and shops. We also liked the activities, games, music, and s’mores offered on the property. It was a beautiful location on the river and very close to Denali National Park.
