"My wife and I live just north of the border, and we visit Bellingham often to come down to do a little bit of shopping as well as to eat at a couple of our favorite restaurants.
We always stay at this property.
My wife has a disability and so we always book the accessible room with the roll in shower.
We consistently have a good stay here. Unlike a lot of other places along the I-5, you don’t have homeless problems here which is something you really need to be careful of. We’ve stayed at some other places in Bellingham in proximity to the
I-5and they are horrible. Crackheads everywhere. Not the case here.
The hotel itself is clean, the property is clean, attentive front desk staff, a decent breakfast, coffee and tea 24 hours a day, with lots of amenities within a mile radius.
As I said, we enjoy staying here as it is consistently a good experience.
If I had one negative thing to say, it would be about one person that works the front desk.
This person is simply not friendly. They are not rude, or outwardly unfriendly in anyway, but for somebody that works in the hospitality industry they are probably one of the most inhospitable people I have ever dealt with at a hotel.
It's too bad I have to check in with them.
Just such a difference in the attitude of this person versus literally everyone else here. Not sure why they work in a hotel if they're just not wanting to muster a smile when someone is arriving and wanting to check in."
