the hotel was Centrally located within close proximity of good restaurants, you can walk to New Delhi metro station and not far from local tourist attractions. The staff in the hotel are super friendly, the breakfast was the best we had in India and I would recommend staying here to others.

my room was very clean only good point , shared communal toilet was absolutely disgusting , the people using it had obviously not been toilet trained , pan not flushed , tissue discarded on floor and not deposited in pan after use , most disappointing was i had specifically booked this hostel as it had a pool i was refused use of it , excuse first was it was being cleaned , clearly a lie as i had seen it being cleaned earlier then i was told government inspectors were coming to inspect it , i saw no one , to see this pool unused in perfect working order and not be able to use it after a lot of hot travel was a disgrace . on complaining i was met with surly uninterested staff . would advise anyone not to use this hostel as far better can be had for half the price in the main bazar near railway station . avoid this hostel

We have arrived after 12 hours traveling, front desk officer about few n they told me there is no name booked under my name, i showed then the confirmation of room from my emal. After whe they did discuss and second person told me meanwhile waiting for confirmation from Wot if. They asked me to deposit some money to stay in and another person came to us said no need paid the deposit and gave us a room at 3rd floor which was the lift doesn't work. Room was very basic and nothing compare to what was said it is tourist hotel. Terrible noise from air conditioning. I have requested the staff that once confirmed my booking i would like change the room to ground,1st or 2nd flr and promised but they dont bother. Breakfast supposed to be tourists breakfast but all Indian food except toast bread n butter n jam. Overall my advise to the management to study and learn more about foreigners lifestyle to give best services tourists. Before ending this, the front garden appearance was good but at back yard of hostel was full of renovation and debris.

Interesting if a bit tired
I love the YMCA in Delhi and always sray there but it is undeniably quirky and the service and condition of the rooms is immensely variable. Sometimes rooms are immaculate, clean, homely and comfortable; at other times they are as tired as I am after a day in smoggy Delhi. But the location is perfect, the prices are fine, and for me it is a fixture.

Cool place to relax
Pleasant locality and Campus. Tranquil in the midst of the City near to many important places. Stayed in a single room, which was neat and clean. The staff seems friendly and cordial. But was not getting water all the time in bathroom and there was no prior information regarding that. I have booked via Expedia and in the booking form it is stated that the check in time is 2.00 p.m, but YMCA hostel says that it is 12.00. The staff got a bit irritated that I got check out around 1.30. The Sivaji Stadium Metro Station is so near to the YMCA , enabling me to check in there in the Jet Airlines. It is only two station away from the T3 terminal and by road may take one hour to reach there.

Pleasant stay
The hotel is situated in a very popular place in city. Very safe and the staff was cooperative and knew their duties. I specially liked the guard at the glass gate who takes good care of all customers and is extremely well mannered. Over all the stay was comfortable and safe.

Had not stayed at the "Y" for several years and found it both frayed and expensive. It admittedly has atmosphere and services geared to foreigners: restaurant with OK food, money-changer, travel desk and other "hotel quality" services. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to the Metro, Conaught Circle, Rajiv Chawk, etc. Despite, common bathrooms; quirky doors, drawers and locks; few toiletries faded paint, etc. it is priced comparably to a decent Indian "business" hotel. The draw is probably the uncertainty visitors have finding such amongst a plethora of over-hyped, falsely reviewed hotels in the surrounding area [particularly those near the Delhi Rail Station]. Recommendation -- Try to find a reliable reference or be prepared to spend a night or two at the Y while looking for a better place to stay.

A real Garbage Heap.
This place is absolutely awful. I suppose you get what you pay for. I booked this thru the Hotels.com app, and it does not mention in the app that the rooms you are booking don't have their own private bathroom!! I feel like that is something that should be in HUGE BOLD TYPE. Literally, you have to share a public bathroom with strangers. They do have rooms with attached bathrooms, but they will charge you an additional fee to "upgrade." We booked 4 rooms, and the air conditioners didn't work in two of the rooms. The mattresses are thin and hard as a rock, and left us praying "Jesus please keep us from getting bed bugs." Absolutely awful. Don't waste your money on this trash heap.

Highly overcharged for value & service!
After searching for multiple hotels online, we zeroed in on this hotel due to its location...which turned out as the only positive part of the entire stay. Feedback for each aspect: Check-in: Reception did not have any idea about our arrival. There was no sync-up between their admin who manages online bookings. Result - unnecessary waiting &running around their department. Very poor!! Room: We opted for double room for two of us. TV 20 inches & facing left side of bed - nothing clearly visible from such distance & at that angle. Bathrooms has only shower & bath spout - no toilet jet spray in any room of the hotel. No separate tap for toilet water. No facility for Toilet roll dispenser. You have to use the same bucket that you use for bath and for your toilet needs. Despite double room, room had only one glass for drinking. Extremely poor facility. Room service: Room service is strictly okay. Housekeeping is available only between 9am to 5:30 pm which is a first in a Hotel and never heard of. Poor over all! Restaurant &room service - Extremely poor. The food is expensive but quality not worth the money. We ordered dal & roti in room which were delivered in a platter - with no extra spoons for serving, no serving bowls. Hotel expects customers to eat directly from the main platter even if it is liquid. On enquiring why no serving balls, the staff mentioned service is done this way only. Based on overall quality, hotel is strictly overcharged. Not recommended at all!

Disinterested check in clerk. Shockingly shabby room. 7 degrees Celsius temperature and only 1 thin blanket and not even an attempt to produce more. Only redeeming feature was the service orientation of the restaurant staff.

Exceptional value for location, poorly kept up
Given the location, the price is astonishing. The cafeteria is excellent. The staff are very nice and attentive, but the front desk could use improvement in attitude. The grounds are kept nicely, but the interior badly needs at least a thorough pressure washing, repainting, floor cleaning, repairs to myriad little items of damage and deterioration. The facility has airconditioning but no central or other heating, and the bathroom can get VERY cold in winter. The hot-water geyser was not working when we got in (apparently they don't check these things), and then we got someone to come in (very fast response!) and replace some burnt wires etc. Worked for a day, then quit again, another repair with more components replaced. Light switches were iffy (loose contact). The room is cleaned only if you leave the keys with the desk or are there and call someone to clean (OK, understantable securiity precaution). The Internet access is TERRIBLE, they need to kick out whatever contractor they have hired for that.
