Better options than this place
I have stayed in much more nice hotels than this in Delhi and India. Very noisy guests and traffic. Staff was disrespectful.

Do not stay here’s
No working AC, no running water, rude staff especially the owner Raj. Dirty area and dusty staircases. Food made me sick

The place its pretty clean, comfortable beds, the food is very nice and the staff and the manager really helpful and nice, its very important for them that youll enjoy youre stay and get everything you need

Location is perfect as it’s near the metro station. It is also nearby shops. It is very clean and had comfortable sleep.

Awesome location. Stayed in private room. Bathrooms were separate but very clean for being shared. Arrived at 2am without issue. There was a very warm community-like environment. No soundproofing so was difficult to sleep. Also, until about 11pm there was a loud banging noise coming from upstairs (was on floor 1) that sounded like a heavy object being thrown at the ground or dropped. It was random so trying to sleep with that was impossible.

This hostel is excellent. First up, the staff. Raj, who runs it, is a wealth of knowledge and a bundle of helpfulness. He can organise anything and everything for you, including a driver around Delhi, restaurant reservations and onward travel, including flights, trains and drivers, and accommodation. Next up, the hostel. Located bang in backpacker-ville, Main Bazaar, and opposite the station, it's a great location .although slight hard to findm I did tell Raj they need a sign. It's down an alley way between the chemist and Hotel K.G. Palace (large black and orange sign). Breakfast was included and is toast with jam and butter and/eggs with masala tea. Basic but yummy, clean and filling. Dinner was daal, cauliflower curry and rice...as much as you want! I think the chef was trying to make us fat! SUCH great value. Now the rooms. We had a double private room which had a TV, aircon, plenty of plugs, clean bed linen, clean towels and more lights than Blackpool Illuminations. I did take a sneeky peak at the dorms which were the best I've seen anywhere (and I've traveled a LOT of anywheres!) They were clean and each bunk had its own wee fan, light, locker and curtain. The dorm rooms also had balconies. I'd happily have slept in a bunk.

False advertising
This place is not what it seems, and I think a lot of the reviews are either fake or exaggerated. We book a private room with private bathroom, fridge and view, the only thing they gave us was a private room, we did not get what we paid for and complete false advertising. They did offer to move us to their other hotel, but after a long journey we was to tired to move, and the place was locally central, but does not give you what you are paying for and in fact have no such rooms for what we originally paid for.

Mam, we are sorry you are unhappy with your stay but we are a hostel. You extended your stay with us and you were very happy. You stayed for 1400 rupess (15 pounds) a night for 2 people including meals and a free drop at the airport which is a complimentary 700 rupees (8 pounds) service. We hope you enjoy backpacking incredible india!

Had an amazing experience at the Himalayan Hostel - I really recommend this place. So many positives jump to mind: the awesome free breakfast and chai; the fantastic rooftop with view across Paharganj (the local area); the hot, powerful showers; the strong and fast wifi; the cleanliness; the super friendly staff...there's so many features that really set the Himalayan above other hotels I've stayed at on my travels to over 50 countries (and counting). ...If you want a first rate hostel in a great area in Delhi...the Himalayan will be perfect for you.

Stayed with a friend on her recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Really friendly helpful staff and great central location. New comfortable mattresses, elevator up to the higher floors (which is very rare in backpackers in Delhi and good for us lazy people), and tasty free breakfast. We will come back after our trip.

Excellent new hostel, very clean and comfortable
This is a new hostel about 10 minutes walk straight down from New Delhi train station. The dorms are clean and comfortable and I had a balcony. There was a sun lounger on the rooftop which was awesome. Tasty free breakfast which I didn’t expect for the price. The staff also helped with travel arrangements and Raj was friendly and nothing was too much effort.

Can’t believe you get a free breakfast for the price! Fruit omlette chai :). Hostel was a great find, enjoyed my stay, clean rooms and bathrooms and easy to walk from central station.

I loved this hostel, really cosy and comfortable reception. Beds were comfortable and clean. Right in the centre of paharganj action but still somehow quiet !

10-15 minutes walk from new delhi metro/station, easy to find straight down main bazaare road. It is brand new place, very clean although another hostel is being built next door which share a communal stair case so some builders going up and down. Dorms very clean, nice marble bathrooms with hot water and good wifi.

I was one of first guests from this hostel. Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff are friendly. There is nice rooftop. I would like some art or similar in room to give more character but overall excellent and highly recommend

Brand new hostel in final stages of completion. Sweet, friendly staff and nice reception area and rooftop to have food and drinks on / sunbathe. It is just off Main Bizarre road so quieter than many other hostels I stayed in the area. Would be useful to have phones to call reception in rooms but I was told that was still coming as was a newly opened place. Booked 3 week golden triangle tour which was cheaper than the price I got in 3 other places so happy with that, just left on the tour yesterday and so far so good.

部屋は窓もなくシンプルだが清潔で、設備もきちんと作動した。ただシャワーとトイレはドミトリーと共同のようであった。個室なのだから各部屋に備わっていたほうがよかった。また部屋に椅子が一脚あったが、それなら机もあったほうが書き物などしやすいと思った。

エアコンもついていて、シャワーもしっかりお湯が出る。朝食夕食込みでこの値段は破格でした。初めてのインド旅の最初のホテルがここで本当によかったです。また来た時には必ずここを使いたいと思います。
