"The Harbor Light Inn is situated directly across the street from the water. If you're looking for a beach, you can walk about 50 feet down from the Inn to a little park, and if you want to put in a boat, the marina is right there.
The Commodore was our room, and we had a great little place to journal or watch the sun set from our bay window. Our innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. Make sure you give your cell phone, not a home phone land line (if you have one) since that will be the way that you open your room door when you arrive. (Minor oops on our part!)
This place is perfectly located to get to the ferry on the "curvy road"/Hwy 42, and located just far enough away from the madness of the other towns (think Sister Bay) to be able to visit Al Johnson's for breakfast if you want, but not to have to hear cars and motorboats early or late. Plenty of parks, both state and county are around, and the inn also has a complete kitchen, dining area and great room to sit and read, play games or snuggle in if the weather turns."
