This is a beautiful Normandy-style historical property located across from the Deauville beach and close to the center of town. The reason we picked that property over similar ones was the Diane spa. We were however very disappointed by the indoor pool that was much smaller than it appeared to be on the hotel website and in dire need of renovation. The wall showers outside the hammam and sauna were broken, and only half the private showers were working properly; many of the lockers were also not working. But the two massages we booked were great and the staff at the spa was very nice.

Gorgeous hotel but found that the service was lacking; the restaurant was very long and the food was mediocre. Our mini-bar was not replenished for more than 2 days, our espresso machine was broken. I asked repeatedly for it to be replaced (over a 4-night stay) and it never was. The room service team was very slow to pick up dishes/ clean the hallways often filled with many trays. The bathroom was in desperate need of renovation.

Chambermaid service did not meet expected standards. Bath robes were very tatty and threadbare. the air conditioning did not work so they had to provide an electric heater. We also had other issues which the hotel did their best to resolve
5 star hotel in Deauville. At first a bit doubtful about the value for money, but friendly staffs (all English speaking), nice breakfast, clean rooms, good location… all met our expectations! Would like to come back!

Great location, hotel is beautiful and clean , the only black point is the breakfast it is really not acceptable from a hotel of this standing and service was poor , other than that great place

The hotel is in need of a revamp. It is not up to standard of the general expectation of a 5 star establishment. Avoid if couples or single. The hotel is geared towards a “family resort” feel with a children’s club and related amenities. The staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. Great location - central and walking access to the beach and casinos.

The room were not ready by 3 pm, we had to wait one hour, the day after the did not di the room until 4 pm. No one in the reception at night, as my husband and other customers were going out to smoke, there was nobody. Very impersonal hotel, staff is nice but lost ...

Having stayed at the Barrier group in Le Touquet and in Cannes we decided to book a deluxe room at Le Normandy. We received a very friendly welcome when checking in and decided to upgrade our room to a sea facing at minimal cost really but with much bigger bed. The Belle Epoque restaurant is highly recommended over Christmas with a greta choice of sea food including lobster. The hotel bar has a lovely ambience to it with a friendly pianist. The cocktails can be pricy but I suppose that is what is takes to keep out all the tourist that want to visit the bar during Christmas :-)
Overall a good experience and a lovely town full of good French and Italian restaurants. The beach is also fantastic, even in winter.

We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel, indoor pool, kids club, etc. The meals are very over priced, notably breakfast, so it is important to think ahead about restaurants in the area like Trouville. Otherwise, it is a great getaway, and you feel a bit lost in time!
The location was great. View of the Channel, walking distance to shopping and great restaurants.
Reception staff could be more welcoming. However, we were very happy to see all the staff with American Flag pins on their lapels.
Great breakfast buffet.
This property is first rate. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room is awesome. We were delighted by our room which was beautifully appointed. The nightly chocolates on our pillows was the perfect ending to our day.
