"We loved the location. We love San Clemente and all it has to offer. The support person on the phone was very helpful. It’s a great unit. We were very comfortable there. We would return in the future. There are a few things that need to be looked at a little closer. The toilet kept clogging up. Especially when there were more people in the building upstairs. "Breakfast wasn’t terrible, you get what you get type stuff, the ice machine was down the entire trip, other than that it was good"

"I appreciate the staff...they were very nice, I just wasn't at all impressed with the room. I was walking around in my white tube socks, and they ended up black on the bottom from just the room floor. The sink shot water onto my clothing, (and the counter all around it) every time I used it. There were no clothes hangers on the rod, and when I asked about it at the front desk I was told, "There are no hangers." (That would have been nice to know before I left home.) Finally, when I needed ice at 7:30 am and the room the ice machine was in was locked, they told me that it's only unlocked from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, (I had to leave at 8:30!) Again, that would have been good to know right up front! The bed was comfortable enough, and the price was good...but I don't want to think about how well the room was cleaned. Also, again, the staff was very good to me, except when they couldn't be. I will not be staying at any Motel 6 again...obviously their standards have changed since I last stayed, probably 30 years ago."
