When trying to check in we stood in the lobby for over 10 minutes with multiple staff walking passed us, I then reread the check in instructions and they told us to head to the bistro and so we did, a lady came up and said “yes?” Rudely then directed us back to the lobby and still no one helped us. Finally we got checked in by two really nice guys at the bar. At night there were people drinking and screaming outside of our room downstairs until 12am to the point that neither of us could sleep even with earplugs in and we had to be up at 5am to drive to Mildura today which we had to stop and sleep on the side of the road because our night was so bad.

Lovely room clean, with balcony, huge ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities and breakfast pack. Some noise from hotel patrons leaving after midnight but other rooms may not be as noisy.

Centre of town. We booked two nights for a Friday wedding in town and should have booked three. They went out of the way to find us a third night at other venue as they were now booked out. The next day they had a cancellation for a room on the third night and offered it to us. It was their spa room and they gave it to us for the regular rate. Very happy with this place. Don’t confuse it with the Daylesford Hotel over the road. Very different.

I would not recommend if you're after a peaceful stay in Daylesford. I was aware it was above a pub but thought a Monday and Tuesday night would be quiet, atleast after 10pm. But Monday night there was loud noise (loud conversations and drinking) right past 2am out the front. I was in a balcony room. Tuesday night noise was slightly less but I had to use my notice cancelling earphones to get to bed. Amazed hotel mgmt allow for such noise when theyre also managing a hotel. In fairness, hotel room was nice but I really didn't want to stay in it as there was a lot of noise during the day from all the traffic in trucks passing through the roundabout. I mentioned the late night noise to management the next morning, but never heard back from anyone. Definitely won't be back.
