Beautiful mediaeval town.
Easy to find on our way from the Bilbao ferry to Benicassi. Only down was my evening meal of traditional lamb which was too fatty to eat! Excellent service & friendly staff. Would stay again.

What a delightful surprise Daroca was! A beautiful historic town in magnificent natural surroundings. We loved walking around the very non-touristy town. The hotel was of a high standard, with a beautiful sunny courtyard for dining or sitting. Delicious meals! We had the best salad, a high quality dinner and great breakfast there. We discovered a delicious local wine.thanks to the helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit!

A lovely looking building in a nice Spanish town. The room however was very stark giving me the feeling I could have been anywhere. We eat evening meal in restaurant which was ok, I had advised on booking that I was Gluten Intolerant however at breakfast it seemed a major issue to provide me with a defrosted bread roll. Coffee was nice though

The room was very clean and quiet. Maybe because it wasn't the tourist season yet, but the hotel was basically deserted. It was hard to find someone at reception, it looked like the restaurant was closed and the dining around the area was very limited. The town is incredibly well preserved for history and is well worth a visit.

Very Good Rooms and Price/Value
Wonderful value, with clean, nicely modernized and well designed SPACIOUS rooms and a shower bath including a large bathtub. Weary travelers would also benefit from the nice restaurant (with reasonably priced Menu del Dia), cafeteria/bar and nice common areas. This hotel FAR exceeded my expectations and deserves a top rating,

A town with character
Comfortable hotel with air conditioning which was needed on a hot summer night. The breakfast included a cold cut plate and a basket of pastry.

Beautifully renovated hotel in old building.
When we walked through the entrance into a pleasant courtyard, we were very surprised and pleased. Also happy to have private (free) parking. The room was bright and spacious with three windows looking out over the courtyard towards the old town fortifications. Would have preferred a double bed to twin beds pushed together, but to be fair, we did not ask to be moved. We had a menu of the day in the café, which was basic but tasty. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. Delicious croissants and fresh fruit. We didn’t try the cooked dishes. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay, especially as huge numbers of cranes flew in to the Lagoon of Gallocanta, the reason for our visit.

Comfortable, Clean & Friendly
We have stayed at Hotel Cienbalcones several times now and will continue to use it when driving further into Spain. The staff are extremely friendly & welcoming and a great team of domestic staff make sure the rooms, linen & towels are always fresh and spotlessly clean. Great value for money, quiet, convenient & well worth our continued patronage. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean & tidy with a very comfortable bed. Well located in the centre of town ideal for exploring the historic streets. Valuable hotel car park as the streets are very narrow. Very good self service breakfast, courteous welcoming staff.

A great place to stay
We stopped here overnight on our way to Malaga, booked purely by chance and what a hidden gem! Great place to stay with spacious immaculate rooms, pleasantly helpful staff, loved the central courtyard, we sat and had drinks from the bar and it started to rain, no problem the bar tender closed the roof and we remained dry! Breakfast was included and served at the table with plenty to eat and generous refills of tea and coffee. Parking is limited but we were able to leave our vw under the hotels archway. You can park just outside in the beautiful cobbled street quite easily. All in all a very pleasant experience and a definitely added to our favourites.

A OK type of place
Finding the place to park the car was difficult. It was away from the hotel and although behind gates they were not locked. The dinner was poor but the room was comfortable. The staff were helpful. I guess it was what you would expect from a 2/3 star hotel.

Absolutely EVERYTHING was first class
Brilliant Hotel. Only minus was parking in the town. We were lucky and got a place in area allotted- only because someone had just left.

A well-presented hotel,easy to find and well located for visiting the town.Our room was bright and modern whilst retaining all the character features. We had a marvellous view across the attractive courtyard to the monumental town entrance and the beautiful countryside beyond. The buffet style continental breakfast was excellent, varied and plentiful. The private parking in a gated area behind the hotel was a useful facility (it only has space for a few vehicles though so may not always be available) As we arrived early we were able to walk the extensive and only partially restored old town walls . For us this was a fantastic experience. It is more like a mountain ramble so you should have suitable footwear and the Tourist Office recommend allowing 2 hours..The views are amazing with lots of interesting history (in Spanish) and a good chance for some exercise after sitting in the car for many hours.

Stop over on way from Bilbao
We had a very comfortable stay in a very good room. The menus del dia in the hotel were excellent and the prices were good. We'd certainly stay here again as it is a convenient stop on the way to/from Bilbao.

We loved this hotel. Don't change a thing!
Just stayed for 1 night. Would have liked to have stayed longer. We loved the building, the hotel, our room, the bar, the dinner, the breakfast + the staff were wonderful. Unexpected luxury in such a remote location.

Hotel ubicado en un lugar con mucho encanto en un edificio muy bonito. Las habitaciones son sencillas, nada que decir, pero les falta una buena mano de limpieza y no estaria mal adecuarlas para hacerlas mas acogedoras. Los chicos del bar y del restaurante, un encanto. Desayuno muy pobre. Restaurante super recomendable.
