Absaroka Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for one night on our way to Bozeman. The hotel was perfect for our night, clean and comfy with a pretty cool view. Easily walkable to just about anywhere in the town. Even saw some Elk across the river."
"We normally stay at chain hotels. That wasn't an option in this case, but we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean, very new, all the expected items. The property is laid out strangely, but it was not a problem. Some rooms are in a different building not adjacent to the property, with some residences between. Our building was up the side of the mountain a little. Nothing wrong with that, it was just unusual. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast options."
"I wish I had known more in my way out, I would have stayed here multiple nights. Great owners with a great location. Sitting on the porch outside our room staring at mountains was awesome. "
"What a gem! Yellowstone Riverside Cottages is the cutest, nicest place we’ve stayed on our trip to Montana so far. I’d highly recommend it. The location is great and walkable to everything you need. Great restaurants nearby. Love this place and can’t wait to come back and stay a lot longer! "
"The entire team was amazing—everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and solution-oriented. Special shoutout to Martin, who went above and beyond for us!
The location is unbeatable—just a 3-minute drive to Yellowstone’s entrance, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and right across from a convenience store.
The room was clean and very comfortable. It came with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There’s no housekeeping during the stay, but parking is right out front which was super convenient. It’s not a luxury hotel, but if you’re spending your days in the park, it’s a perfect base. They have a laundry room on the floor.
Only two downsides:
• The shower curtain had a bad smell and definitely needs replacing.
• If you’re a light sleeper, be warned—walls are thin. I heard a dog barking all night from the next room. And probably they heard my 5 months old during the night ."
