Best in Peru
Best place we stayed in Peru. Really nice colonial style court which can compete with high rank hotels, nice atmosphere at the bar, confy room, clean and on top of everything very helpful staff. The agency linked to the hostel also offer a lot of packages.

Perfect location in Cusco. The restaurant on site was very good however service was rather slow. Rooms were clean and as well designed as dormitories go. The only thing I would say is that depending on what room you are in, the walk to the washroom may be rather long. The place had a hippy vibe with the party in mind but managed to maintain a tame and comfortable environment.

Excellently situated two blocks off Plaza del Armas — super-helpful staff — pretty building — staff very welcoming but not at all intrusive — good amenities such as laundry,, continental breakfast, inexpensive but fine meals, including much-appreciated vegetarian/vegan options. Not sure how they do all this for so little money, but it’s great!

I was really sick with a sinus infection when I got to Cusco. The hostel was a perfect place to recuperate. The beds were comfy, the kitchen open late, and the main area had hot water and a fireplace at night.

We loved staying st Ecopackers! The noise from the band at the bar is REALLY loud so bring ear plugs.

Loud yelling well into the night, which was ironic considering all of the “quiet” signs. People smoking marajuana right outside the room.

Great stay
Fun place, great free welcome drink, nice people! Room was a bit cold and had a lot of beds so could be noisy, but wasn’t for me. Also, there isn’t a shared kitchen at this hostel. They make dishes that you can pay for. They also let me use a plate for my own fruit though!

I loved this place! Everything was great except I don’t think there was any heater and it was freezing cold in the shower area and in the rooms! Wish it would have a heater but overal it was great!

Awesome outdoor hostel
I liked the hostel A LOT. Very nice outdoors area, cool atmosphere. The only thing I couldn't feel was a problem sometimes was because that's everything was so open it couldn't be quite coldness in the room so at nights sometimes. That's the only thing. But I would definitely come back anyway.

We booked ecopackers following good reviews by travel guides and online. Based on the photos from their website, we booked a room with double bed and private bathroom. Upon arrival at the hostel, we went to our room which was on the second floor. Contrary to pictures shown, the room we ended up with was not in any way similar to that. There was a very pungent mold smell, probably coming from the huge water stain on the ceiling. The floor was old grey carpet that was stained all over. The only window in the bedroom was yellow stained glass, could not be opened and impossible to see throught. The room was poorly lit. The room was also next to some sort of terrace where someone was doing reno work until late at night. The room is next to the hostel's resto-bar which is loud until very late at night. Might be good for a single backpacker looking for a party atmosphere and a cheap bed. But definitely not as advertised for the double private room. When we approched management to tell them we were fleeing this dump, they did nothing to try to make it right, they just did not care.

A fun place to meet people
ECO Packer has some magic atomersphere for meeting great travellers! I heard it from some other travellers that had stayed in other hostels and moved to ECO Packers for meeting new friends. Also, the stuff at the front desk are very friendly and cheerful. It adds positive influence to the atimersphere for travellers have fun and connect! It definitely make your stay a wonderful experience!

Decked out hostel
In one word: amazing. First of all, the hostel as a whole is beautiful. They put a lot of effort into the atmosphere and it shows. Great music playing, bar tenders who know what they are doing, speedy food, lots of places to lounge and meet other travelers. You MUST stay for more than one night. Seriously, no negatives at all.

This hostel has a good location. The check in process was efficient and they spoke English if that is important to you. The room was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again if back in town.

Great spot close to the center of Cusco
Typical hostel set up with dormitory style rooms and shared bathrooms. Everything was clean and staff were helpful even though we didn't speak the language very well.

Convenient and clean hostel in the centre of cusco
Clean and spacious rooms (we stayed in an 8 bed dorm which was only half full due to lower season). There were lockers provided for each bed which fitted your backpack in. Shared toilets and showers were always clean and a bar also on site usually with live music. Also nice was the fire in the living area in the evenings which were pretty chilly but lovely sunloungers in the courtyard to enjoy the warm sunshine in the day. Free Breakfast was the usual tea, coffee, juice with bread and just and butter and sometimes fruit. I would definitely recommend this friendly hostel.

good amenities for backpackers
This hostel provides great amenities for the convenience of a backpacker. A bar + restaurant, same day laundry service, a close by travel agency (although I recommend shopping around the numerous tour agencies in Cusco for cheaper rates) very helpful staff and taxi pick up service, and hot showers, not to mention the table tennis and movie lounge available. I found the beds comfortable but as in any Hostel prepare for sound and other disturbances at night, especially considering the colonial courtyard style of the building.

Great budget option in convenient location
This is a great social hostel in a convenient location close to the main square. My only complaint is that my top bunk in the dorm room was very close to a beam that ran along the ceiling. I would constantly have to duck to avoid hitting it while sitting in bed. There is a tour operator located on site, which is convenient for scheduling day trips around Cusco. The wifi doesn´t always work in the rooms, but is accessible in common area.

Good location and facilities
The hostel is in a very convenient location, just a couple of minutes from the Plaza de Armas. It has a range of dorms (4 bed up to 18bed) and a couple of private rooms. Restaurant and tour agency are attached to the hostel. Shared facilities are good and clean and the wifi is ok (most of the time...)

Excellent friendly hostel
We stayed at Ecopackers for a few nights in May / June and really enjoyed it. When we first arrived, reeling slightly from the altitude and coming off a night bus, the coca tea was very much appreciated. The beds were comfortable, the dorms have lockers (bring your own lock), the showers were hot and very clean. There are great communal areas - there's a laid back atmosphere. It isn't too loud, but not too quiet either. Definitely recommend this hostel. Good location too - short walk from Plaza del Armes, markets, San Blas etc.

Excelente lugar!
todo excelente, muy limpio, muy bien organizado, siempre atentos a cualquier necesidad, cama comoda y con buen abrigo, baños limpios, agua caliente todo funcionando perfecto, restaurant economico y muy rica la comida, sala de juegos y descanso con una agradable chimenea, la agencia muy buena atencion resolvieron todas nuestras dudas, la recepcion muy cordial. 清潔感のあるホステルです。女性専用の共同部屋に泊まりましたが、ベッドのすぐ横にコンセントやライトを設置してくれます。 しかし、女性専用のシャワー室は夜の使いたい時間帯には水しかでません。他の場所でシャワーが使われているときは水すらもでません。朝はお湯がでます。 また、日によりますが夜中2時すぎても音楽を大音量で流しながら盛り上がっている人たちがいます。眠りの浅い人にはつらいかもしれません。 設備はこんな感じですが、スタッフの優しさには感謝しています。

Nice hostel, nice location, wonderful staff...
I arrived here for 5 nights and stayed finally two weeks. I had a good time in the hostel as well as in the town of Cusco. The facilities are good and also the there is plenty space to hang out and also to spend some time working at the computer. I stayed in the 15 bed dorm which normally is to big for me but this one was over 2 floors and there was only one night we were 10 people in total. The best of this place is the staff who was always very friendly and helpful and also tried to practice a bit Spanish with me. My special thanks goes to Betty, Yuli, Carmen, Ruth and all the others. The restaurant offers food and drinks for good prices and in good quality. The Pisco sour welcome drink became my new favorite cocktail. If I come back one day I would stay here again!
