"Upon entering the first room assigned to us, we were overcome by the horrible smell. My wife ran out of the room and told me to cancel our stay. I went into the motel office and spoke with the female manager on duty there , informing her of the garbage like smell of the room. She said that the problem must be the carpet and assigned us to room 107 which had no carpet. My wife and I entered that room , which had the fake wood vinyl flooring and found it to be acceptable. It appeared to be fairly clean with a faint odor about it . We settled in but found that the air conditioner would only blow somewhat cool air and I found it hard to sleep that night due to the warm temperature.
The room was very plain, with no pictures on the wall or any decorations.
No one informed us of an ice machine or where to find snacks.
The next morning, I arose very early and went in search of some type of breakfast snacks but found nothing that was not inside a pay snack machine except coffee. Upon our departure at around 9:45 am, my wife told me that I had chosen a sorry motel and that we had gotten what we paid for, which was the least expensive motel room in Crossville, Tn. We both agreed that we would never stay at Executive Inn again."
