"This used to be nice place. Now I’m surprised Wyndham puts the Ramada label on it. The facility is really run down. We had to try three rooms to get one where the AC worked. The shower was falling apart, enamel peeling off the tub. Blood stains on the shower curtain. Broken tiles through out. Torn up head boards, dirty upholstery on the chair, one outlet in the room. Room was non smoking, however smelled like it was previously a smoking room.
Exterior is also is rough shape, cracks in the walls, torn up walk ways, phones didn’t work, WiFi was useless.
The lobby is the nicest part of the facility.
On the upside it was safe and the staff was excellent helping us find a room with working AC. Unfortunately it was a double room and we’d paid for a king.
The price from this site was 1/3 of the rack rate."
"The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable with a great little pool. The restaurant on site was delicious and Jairo, our waiter, was incredibly friendly and helpful with tips for travel."
"I am calling this my favorite place in my hometown because I sleep so good. All the staff is wonderful. It might not have all the amenities like all the other big hotels but with love and kindness they maje up for those things."
"I loved it all. The river view, pool, bar, restaurant, service, and how kind and sweet everyone were. I loved the location, the peace and tranquility it brought to my life. Which was much need for an Emergency Room RN. When I arrived I was greeted my a wonderful young man, he was kind and very pleasant. This world needs more people like.him in it. My only regret is having to leave so soon.
Thank you all for everything, I appreciate it so much!"
"We had a room on the second floor, which had a fabulous view of the lake. The clam chairs were really uncomfortable, though, the back being at an incredibly unnatural angle and hurt my neck; I imagine they're only comfortable to someone already drunk and looking for someplace to pass out. So I do wish they had an alternative option for those of us not drunk and who want to be able to look at the views more easily.
We had dinner in the restaurant one night. Overall the food was good; ordering was a bit frustrating because they were out of a bunch of thing, and since we can't eat shrimp, that left pretty slim pickings. I wound up getting the fettuccine alfredo; I don't remember the menu saying it contained onions, but it definitely startled me with the unexpected crunch, and i was thrown off by the two random pieces of green pepper I found in there as well. Maybe I just didn't read the menu closely; that's on me. I'm fairly sure the green pepper was cross-contamination though. Our waitress seemed not happy in general and specifically with us, so I didn't want to says anything, frankly.
Nate, the manager (owner?), was awesome, though, and Huero (sp?) the white dog was so sweet. I didn't catch the other man's name who was working but he was also really nice and always had a ready smile any time he saw us; both always asked is we needed anything and was always ready to help. I would definitely stays there again, I just maybe wouldn't eat there again."
"We felt like we were whisked away to China at Joyce Garden! Everything from the beautiful grounds, delicious dining at Green Pandan, to feeling safe and relaxed! Joyce and her family are very welcoming and kind! We can’t wait to go back!"
