"Wonderful stay—highly recommended! Upon arrival, the receptionists were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which set a great tone for our stay. The room was perfectly clean and came equipped with an espresso coffee machine, which was a lovely touch. We also really enjoyed the good breakfast. Although we didn't have time to use all the amenities the hotel has to offer, like the spa and the outdoor pool, we had a fantastic experience. We will definitely return if we are back in the area!"

Pousada da Serra da Estrela - Historic Hotel

"A very cool location and history to this converted building. Our room was very white and clean, a tribute to its past I'm sure. Staff were almost all great. Our waiter would go a long way if he smiled or at least pretended he was happy to have this job. Overall a good experience."

Convento do Seixo Boutique Hotel & Spa

"This is a great hotel. A conversion of a former convent which has been really well done. My only reservation was that I did not feel the dining experience was '5 star'. The food was fine, but not excellent, although this in no way spoiled our stay. The staff were lovely and could not be more helpful. A very interesting part of Portugal and a great place to stay."

"Parking is in a garage over 100m from hotel. Secure, but not in line with other reviews suggesting motorcycle could park at the hotel. Anyone wishing to use the pool you need to have a swimming cap which they will sell you for €5, which i thought was just silly so I never used any of the facilities. Garage parking was €7.50 per night but the spaces aren't very wide if you have a big car. Apps on TV and managed to plug in firestick."
