"We stayed at the Parkview Inn one night while returning home from vacation. We were able to get an early check in which was nice. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant. The property was older but the rooms had been updated. The room was clean and homey. And the mattress was comfortable (always a plus). Complimentary breakfast was available but we left before it opened. The motel is located on the main road through Cañon City so there is a little bit of traffic noise but nothing too bad. "

"Wow. Give the photographer a raise! I guess I had high expectations based on the photos. Either it was enhanced or those were OLD pics. We pulled up and the exterior was more worn than images showed. Even then, I was thinking the interior has to be freshly done then. No. It wasnt at the level I am expecting from my usual stays that have HIGH ratings like this one. There was dust everywhere. The couch was so stained. The curtain wouldnt close all the way and parts of the fabric wasnt attached. The ac didnt get as cold as we set it and we had it at 62 degrees and had night sweats. Even if the place was a bit outdated and aged, it should still be clean. The level of care from whoever cleans is way below an acceptable bar. Only good thing was the guy at the front. He was friendly. And that's the only reason I am even rating it 3 stars. And the bed was comfortable enough."
