"We needed a location near to the Atlantic coast after completing the Camino. This proved ideal. It was quiet yet close enough for road access to the South. Accommodation is to the rear of a dwelling that includes a bar, dining space as well as the family home. Rooms are rather small but adequate with all facilities and very clean. "Really nice place to stay. Basically converted farmhouse & barns with a lovely garden containing a sheep dog, cat & ducks. The outside areas were very pleasant with a covered shelter, where we put our motorbike when it rained, and a nice lawn where we sat most evenings drinking wine. Breakfast was excellent. "The sheer atmosphere of the Parador is truly amazing: the corridors filled with furniture, the vaulted central crossing, the grand staircase. It feels as if you’ve gone through a portal to the past. The breakfast offerings are extensive. We had lunch at Dos Reis, which in an equally remarkable setting with the barrel vaulted ceiling. It was a very big nice meal. The Parador is in the most ideal location. To walk out the door into the main square is magical. "
