"Property has a Wonderful Ocean View in every room from what I could see. Reason for the 3 star review is due to the worn condition of the hotel. Rust was evident in the room and all visible metal on site. Kitchen has much older appliances and the stove was literally filthy with the bottom drawer sealed shut with grease. Staff were extremely curt and sad as well staffing was very minimal. I loved the vibe and the outdoor pool was awesome but not heated. Beach access was great. If I were the owner of the property a renovation would make this a great long term stay resort. "

"Room clean... hallways wete never clean - wrappers and crackers set for 3 days in a row. Room picture was not accurate - showed corner window beach view but got an inset view from bedroom and concrete wall view from living room. Noisy whistling entire stay making door difficult to open."

"We’ve stayed here multiple times. Mostly great. They were fully booked while we were there. We had to call everyday for towels and to get dirty towels taken from our room, however, they were always quick to bring them when we called. Unfortunately, there were other “guests” or maybe randoms, who came through stealing our belongings poolside. The front desk didn’t know how to handle this crazy situation. There are cameras everywhere, but they weren’t up on how to use them for incidents like we encountered. Probably won’t go back due to feeling taken advantage of by other crazy guests. I didn’t feel safe and taken care of when this incident occurred. Probably due to riff raff in Daytona these days, The staff needs to be trained on how to handle these crazy situations their guests may encounter. Otherwise, a great stay. "

"We really enjoyed our recent stay at El Caribe. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. The rooms were very clean, and we especially loved the comfortable beds and the variety of pillows provided. While the property is on the older side, it is great to see the ongoing updates. Every member of your staff, including the maintenance team, was extremely friendly and helpful. We also wanted to share a special mention for the check-in desk team—the ladies were absolutely amazing, and there was a gentleman there who was very funny and made us feel welcome. The location is excellent, and while the grocery store across the street was under renovation, having a Publix just up the road was very convenient. Thank you again for a wonderful stay."
