Site of Dorrington station, 1993. View northward, towards Shrewsbury: ex-GW&LNW Joint Hereford - Shrewsbury main line. The station closed to passengers 9/6/58, to goods 15/3/65, but the Marches Main Line flourishes.

View from Lyth Hill These rocks are look a little like concrete, but they are conglomerate, which is composed of pebbles embedded in a sandy matrix. This is a Precambrian sedimentary rock dating from around 650 million years ago. The distant hill on the left is the Wrekin (407m)
