My family decided to go to the Colorado Springs area for my Son's 18th birthday, and Expedia recommended this hotel as a good property. The first thing we noticed is that the counter only had one person, and it was packed in the lobby with people trying to get checked in. The person was very nice, and very rattled trying to do everything herself. After about 30 minutes of waiting, and finally getting checked in, we went to our rooms. Our children had their own room, and when they went in, it was disgusting. Dirt everywhere, furniture missing, no bedspreads on the beds, and bugs all over the windowsill. Microwave was not working, TV was not working. We went back to the front counter and the lady was able to get another room, which she checked for us personally. The other issue was my wife went to our car to get my cellphone, and she was followed back by three separate men, and was scared for her life. We also noticed a couple of people smoking crack outside of one of the rooms We also noticed that there were many people living in the hotel, with many children running around. This was the ghetto, and surely looked it. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone who wants a safe, good night of sleep. The staff was very nice, and was the only bright spot on this overnight stay.
