"The owner was very helpful, I asked for a kettle and there was one waiting when we got there. She checked everything was ok , after we had done self checkin and check out. The location is a further out than we expected, we knew it wasn’t near the lake, but there was nothing near by , you definitely need a car … Fridge in room , and a microwave in the hall for everyone to use . It’s above a pizza restaurant , so you can eat there some nights ( wasn’t open Tuesday) but it was over the weekend....

Hotel Porto Azzurro

Sirmione

10/10 Excellent

Very easy to find - we got the bus from Train station to Colombare. (Bottom end of Sirmione, great place to stay. Shuttle bus for 1 euro takes you to main area which is about 35 mins walk, nice walk though) The area is quiet and roads very clean with lovely flower borders all along. S Reception & other staff all very friendly and helpful. Room very clean, very simple decor but how long are you in your room? Clean bathroom very limited toiletries lovely clean soft towels. You can also hire...

Hotel Du Parc

Sirmione

10/10 Excellent

This is a very nice hotel which has a pleasant atmosphere. The second floor room (at the front of the building) which we occupied overlooked Lake Garda. It was clean and large enough with a good bathroom for two people. A flatscreen television gave access to a number of English channels, which was fine for occasional viewing. The free WiFi access in the room was most welcome, if sometimes a little temperamental. There is a nice pool with seating area around it. The breakfasts provided...

10/10 Excellent

I surprised my boyfriend with this hotel for his 30th. The images looked amazing on the website, and when we arrived we were totally over the moon. The hotel was something else, 5* service, Michelin restauraunt, beautiful decor, very scenic and peaceful location, it was a true romantic getaway, tucked away in the vineyards. We booked an elegance room which has a hot tub, but our hot tub didn't work, so they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite. The staff were a delight and happy to help and take...

Hotel Nazionale

Desenzano del Garda

10/10 Excellent

Although not on the lake front the hotel is very close to the town (less than 5 minutes walk). From the imbarcadero most of the rest of the lake can be reached (managed to get to Riva del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Salo and Sirmione during my stay). The train station is also close make trips to other towns such as Verona and Mantua very accessible. The hotel is very comfortable with a good breakfast buffet. One nice feature (at least in my room) was a usual three pronged plug socket which...

Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda

Gargnano

10/10 Excellent

The view from room 602 (Mini-Suite) was jaw dropping and enhanced by the cloudless blue sky, mill pond view of the lake and a backdrop of the mountains with snow caps. Hotel staff were exceptional in their attention to detail from the staff at reception and throughout the facility to the unsung heroes who ensured our stay was without any low points. Beautiful room which was of an exeptional standard which wanted for nothing. The availability of a car to take you down to the lake and...

Opera Relais de Charme

Verona City Centre

10/10 Excellent

This is our second visit to Opera Relais de Charme and it's been another full ratings visit. The appartment is so close to the main points of interest. Also in a restriced area for most car traffic. We used the train to visit Lake Garda and with an all day ticket travelled via hyrofoil to explore many towns. Take to the mountains via cable car. Look down from 1,790 metres to the lake. You can train from Verona to Venice or Milan. When we visit again we plan to use Verona airport. It's not ...
