Greatham Bridge Greatham Bridge over the River Arun near Coldwaltham.
Arun navigation - cut to first lock Navigation on the Arun was improved in 1790 by a short cut involving three locks and a tunnel. The last barge passed in 1889 and the cut was abandoned. This is the cut leading up to the remains of the bottom lock, which is mostly hidden in the bigger clump of bushes.

Arun Valley Line Viewed from the footbridge that was originally built to allow canal horses a route over the railway as the barges were 'legged' through Hardham Tunnel below. The curve in the line was also the site of a former railway junction which existed between 1863-1966 when the Midhurst branch was dismantled. The buildings centre left are part of the Hardham Water Supply Works.

Good location opposite train stain and train station parking. Parking opposite doesn’t have anything to do with the hotel but hotel helps in a small way via QR CODE to organise payment. Lovely spa hotel with a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the spa facilities were excellent—especially the pool and sauna. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A great place to unwind—I’d definitely visit again. Great sea front view.
