"We loved our visit to the Colchester Boutique Hotel. It's very close to the centre of town where there are lots of places to get food and drink and do a little sightseeing. The hotel has a quirky charm with several communal areas decorated nicely with art and antiques. We particularly liked the vintage cigarette machine. "Every thing was great all but not being able to have a swim, we were informed when we inquired about if we could swim ,and that we would have to book a swim and there was no availability for a swim, which was a shame as this was the only reason we booked here in the first place, looked a lovely pool "

"A fun building dating at one end around 1600 and the other 2016. The Tudor bits are wobbly and pokey as you would expect. The modern bits, modern. Helpful staff and a kitchen that poached eggs nicely for breakfast. For a budget option, this is a good stay. "
