The property located in a convenient spot but old part of Coimbra was surprisingly mordern, bright airy room, with good ensuite washroom. My only complaint was the lack of storage space for clothes etc, otherwise a very pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and v helpful and always professional. Would recommend this place to my friends.

The property was new and modern. It had a nice rooftop bar with a view of the University. It was close to everything, restaurants, cafes and attractions. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. I would definitely and strongly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff was wonderful. The bathroom left a bit to be desired. There was no towel rack/hook to hang out towels, and the shower "door" is a partial wall that allows copious amounts of water out and onto the bathroom floor. A safety bar/handle/rail to hold while stepping into the tub was lacking. The room itself was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The location is great. A little attention to safety details in the bathroom would take this place to the next level

Conveniently located right across from the train station. The check-in girls were wonderful. Great restaurants literally just around the corner. The river was across the street. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

We picked Mondego for its walkable access to both sides of the city and nearby dining. We took good advantage of each of those while there and appreciated its high-quality staff. They helped with any small things we needed and we'd be happy to stay there next time in Coimbra.

Nice but...
Check in easy. However, "heat" had already been turned on. There was no air conditioning. The room was extremely hot. The window would open some, but being on the first floor the noise was horrible. The hotel is located on a major road and by the train station. They did find a fan for us for the 2nd night to make it tolerable. Breakfast was 15 euro per person. The coffee machine was just that, a machine. It stopped working after getting one cup of coffee (we needed two) There was a selection of breakfast items but not worth the 15 euro. They do not offer any free coffee (which I think is a basic amenity).

I absolutely loved this hotel. The shower was a dream. Mattress was comfortable. The location was right by the waterfront. Hotel staff were beyond amazing and so helpful. My only complaint is we got hot and the AC didn’t seem to be working but it could be user error. Either way, would definitely come back.
