This hotel is so luxurious! We loved staying here, and even had coffee at the restaurant, and shopped at one of the shops inside the restaurant for silk shawls.

The property itself seemed nice. Food options were limited. Other 5 star hotels in the area are more welcoming of guests and provide complimentary fruits in room daily. More can be done to make guests feel more valued.

We flew in for an overnight to catch an Oceania Cruise the next day. We had arranged for airport to hotel transportation, but there was a mixup in our arrival time and we had to hire our own taxi. When we arrived at the Crowne Plaza Kochi, around midnight, the night manager was profusely apologetic and offered us a complimentary upgrade. The entire staff was exceptionally attentive, kind, and professional. Overall, our experience was exceptional.

Very clean and stunning room with an excellent view of the Backwaters around Kochi. Staff was very welcoming and helpful too. Buffet breakfast had a large selection (too much for the both of us to try all of it).

I chose this hotel for a party of 5 couples for the rooftop restaurant and private dining room. That was great. However the check in and checkout experience was terrible. I chose 3 superior rooms and 2 standard rooms. They assigned standard rooms to 2 of the 3 couples who chose superior rooms and upgraded one of the standard room guests to superior because they couldn’t get their room ready in time. Check out was equally annoying as they tried to charge guests wrongly assigned standard rooms with superior room prices as that was on the original booking. Needless to say that was not accepted. On the positive sign the standard room was comfortable and well appointed. Superior rooms were larger and at the higher floors offering good views. They presented good value but the location is at least 30 minutes from Fort Kochi.

Reception staff was not at all friendly. We booked two rooms simultaneously but they gave us in separate floors. Staff explanation we didn’t call to request. Eve though we reached around 3.0 pm.

Avoid Crowne Plaza if you can - This is no 5 star!
Not many amenities for a 5 star hotel. Cleanliness was average. There is a good restaurant serving authentic Kerala food with a very friendly staff. All other restaurants are average or below average quality with limited choices and low service standards. Front desk staff has a very condescending attitude. Kept me waiting for a long time for checkout and charged me more than what I was told. Avoid this hotel if you can - there are many other 5-star hotels in Kochi that offer much more value than Crowne Plaza. This one definitely does not look or feel like a 5 star hotel.

I had a wonderful stay. Great room, courteous and very helpful staff, excellent food. Time taken on housekeeping requests was sometimes a little high, but the Hotel seemed quite full for a long weekend so that's understandable. The short Independence Day program was excellently put together and appreciated.

The hotel is conveniently located near shopping malls,hospitals,airport etc. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming and courteous. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious. The gym was clean and had adequate fitness equipments. I would definitely come back to this hotel

I stayed at the hotel during the covid second wave in June 2021. the hotel was virtually empty. hardly any guests. despite the depressing scenario; the staff was all smiles and helpful. all the restaurants and bars were shut due to govt. guidelines. rooms are big and specious. good size bathroom with a shower stall and a tub. i picked the back water view room. excellent view of the back waters. very soothing. did room service. food was pretty good. wish we all come out of this pandemic soon.
