"I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
After a 20+ hour travel day, we arrived exhausted and unfortunately encountered a bug issue on our first night. What impressed us most wasn’t the problem itself, but how the staff handled it. They immediately took our concerns seriously and, without us even asking, upgraded us to their best villa, which was significantly nicer and more expensive than our original booking.
From that point on, the team went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They regularly checked on us, treated the room multiple times, provided extra towels for the doors, and did everything possible to make us feel safe and welcome.
The hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff helped arrange tours, excursions, transportation, shuttle services, and even connected us with a reliable taxi driver. Everyone was friendly, personable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience.
A special thank you to Cynthia and Shami, who were incredibly helpful before and during our stay. They answered questions, helped us prepare for the trip, and were always available when we needed assistance. They even had breakfast ready early for us on mornings when our excursions started before breakfast service officially opened.
What could have been a rough start turned into an amazing stay because of the kindness, professionalism, and dedication of the staff. We left feeling cared for and would happily stay here again."
"Another wonderful stay at Believe. I think I’ve spent 150 nights there in past 5 years and it is always a pleasure. Amazing location and the staff are incredibly warm and wonderful people. It’s like coming to visit family every time except fun!
Much appreciated,
G"
"The views from Villa Ivory at Selva Resort are spectacular and we had a really stunning moon reflecting over the ocean view, however the property is a bit different than advertised. Some things to be aware of is there is no private pool for this villa, there is no bathroom mirror, no door or privacy on the toilet and no towel racks. The critters in our room were not for the faint of heart (geckos, beetles, ants, other flying bugs, scorpion) and you definitely can't eat or have any drinks in your room (all kitchen and dining has to be done outside on the deck). This was our honeymoon trip and we were in the market for a relaxing chill vacation spot, but this was a bit more on the "glamping" side of things, rather than a luxury resort. Definitely a really cool experience, like being in a glass treehouse, but just not what we were expecting. The staff were very responsive to our concerns and did agree to reseal the doors to help with critters."
"We arrived last minute spontaneous road trip first place that popes up was this one. Upon arrival no elevator to the third floor . The shower was no water pressure felt like someone was peeing on me in the shower. The bed was the most comfortable part of my stay. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast. Which I was excited about. Upon arrival the table was full of flies all over the food drinks . After we checked out . We had a 4 hour drive back to our destination I became sick with bad stomach pains had to stop every hour to use the bathroom. Don’t want to go into details but use your imagination. Will absolutely never use this hotel or recommend anyone stay at this place/hotel. Very disappointed dissatisfied"
