It is a very safe and secure hotel. No one speaks English, but the employees are all very nice and helpful, which I liked because it made me really practice my Spanish as well. "We stayed one night since we had to fly out of Barranquilla from Cartagena. The room was pretty basic and the AC was just perfect compared to any other hotel we previously had in Cartagena. Hot water pressure was also perfect. Bed was also comfortable and the full breakfast was a plus!"
