The front desk was welcoming and helpful. I also like the fact that there several walking trails immediately adjacent to the property.

I love that the Marina Inn is still there. It is old but in great shape. The manager works hard at keeping it clean and the staff is very helpful, The rooms are large and quiet. It is in such a beautiful spot, by what once was a great marina. The marina needs to be dredged out so boats can return, but like the old areas in California, they are left in ruins by the cities and forgotten about. I will certainly return to the Marina Inn on my next visit to California

Amazing location clean and great service

Solid little hotel with an excellent value compared to other Berkeley properties at the same time of year. I was a bit taken aback at first by the strong smell of Fabuloso and the less than posh surroundings. But the room was very clean with updated flooring and bedding, The hotel is within reasonable walking distance to a Bart station, which made getting around very convenient. There is also free parking if you do have your own car. Nothing fancy - breakfast consisted of coffee, tea and packaged baked goods and soap/shampoo products were cheap quality. Definitely worth considering if you are traveling to the Berkeley/SF area on a budget.
