"Beautifully spacious and clean, air conditioned room. Excellent outside/garden space with lovely atmosphere, where you can sit into the night thanks to the plentiful heaters. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room were brilliant 'extras' and we even took the chance for a treatment with Catalina. Would highly recommend and we will return."

"Stayed here before in a standard room and the AC wasn't working so the room had a small fan, was pretty basic. This time I paid for the upgrade and it was well worth the extra, AC was working (but a bit weak), bed was a lot more comfortable and nice coffee machine and some complimentary snacks and soft drinks. Gym was a bit crowded and some machines were broken, didn't use the pool. Bar food and service was ok, typical selections but was a short stay so didn't get bored of it. Parking easy and the area was ok so I'd stay again"

"Really helpful staff, rooms immaculate, on site gym brilliant. Food wasnt great unfortunately, 1.5hour wait for wrong food to arrive, however the stsff dealt with the situation really well, csnt fault them. Maybe the food issue was isolated to me. Generally village hotels are really good. Ill stay again for sure"

"At first glance I thought the property was a little tired but it was very clean and comfortable, I slept really well and the excellent staff were a real highlight making check in and out a breeze. I also had dinner at the bar and the food was very good indeed. Perfect for a business trip and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here again. Hopefully next time I can arrive earlier and try the pool which looks great."

"A lovely quirky & very old hotel. We had a great stay & will come back again. Not really any negatives above what you would expect from an old historic building. Attention to detail could be improved in a few area's, but these are minor, picky things. Positives far outweigh the negatives. Great building,l & great location to town. Family room was very nice & spacious, staff were friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast (cold plates at 1st breakfast! Attention to detaiil). Swimming pool was excellent & 13year old loved it, as did I! A great short vacation & will return.."

"The property was very short staffed. drinks and other things were left all over the facility making it feel dirty and not well maintained. Was most difficult to get a drink or service while at the beautiful outdoor pool. The grounds are important to taking in. Staff was a bit difficult and rude about having my grandchildren visit during the day but sort of this one of the managers."
