"We haven’t been in an HI hostel in a long time (in our 70s) but were very happy with our overnight stay in HI Aveiro.
Staff were lovely, the room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. We walked to it from the bus station via the beautiful park. Not many eateries in the immediate neighbourhood (apart from a McDonalds almost opposite) but only 15 minutes on foot to the many restaurants/cafes in the town centre. "

Elfeu at the front desk is the example of the perfect customer service: polite, professional, knowledgeable, patient. Elfeu answered all our questions and we never felt rushed.
The room is immaculate, the toiletries are excellent, the continental breakfast is wonderful with a big choice of fruit, yogurts, pastries, coffees, milks (we were very happy to see the soy one), the beds are comfortable and the linen is superb. You couldn’t wish for a better location.
If we are ever in this area again, with no hesitation we will book our stay at this hotel. "
