"The hotel itself was great. Loved the staff, location etc. Possible Shady Taxi Business Alert The hotel has an agreement with the taxis to charge a fixed rate of 20 Euros to take us to the airport. I asked if they take card cause we spent all of our cash. The girl at the front said it’s the law that they have to take card cause they need to pay taxes. We book the taxi. When he came I asked if I could pay before going, he said yes we can pay now or later but when we get in the car, he doesn’t get out the card machine. I dismiss it and I didn’t push to pay right away. When we get there, he pulls out the credit card reader, my card doesn’t work. Which is weird cause it works everywhere. It keeps showing red. My husband’s card doesn’t work. I try 2 other credit card. Red. He tells me to go to the ATM that was conveniently where he parked to get cash. Weird, cause if my card isn’t working with his machine, why would it start working for the ATM. I’m not thinking clearly cause it’s awkward, I’m pressed for time, it’s early, & I’m in another country. So I ended up having to pay 4.5 Euros extra to use the ATM. While that’s not a lot, I wouldn’t have gotten a taxi had it been more than 20 Euros. After research on forums, this is common to avoid taking card. If you book w/ hotel, ask them to pay right away. If their machine doesn’t work, call for another taxi to come whose machine will work. But im sure if the hotel witnessed it, the card machine would be working."

"The only positive aspect of this stay was the convenient location—about a 10-minute drive from the airport, which made it easy for an early flight. Otherwise, the room was disappointing. It was not very clean, and the bathroom appeared dirty with visible signs that looked like black mold. Overall, it did not meet expectations and I would not stay again."

"we didnt know how to use the air con in the mini bar previous occupants had tried to open a bottle of beer so it leaked out when we put our wine in the frig. i found the single beds very narrow so as i am a bit stout nearly fell out of the bed!! other than that the staff were helpful and breakfast gorgeous pam reeve uk"
