Beautiful rooms. Extremely nice staff. Close to boardwalk on the bay and Christiansted shops and restaurants. The outside could use some paint, but don’t be deceived. It’s s very nice place.

Unfortunately there was major construction happening right in front of this property. So expect to walk around a bulldozer to get to the front door. The property itself was nice. The b&B was very communicative and responsive.

Hi Kristen,Thanks for staying at the Sugar Apple Bed & Breakfast. Construction can be so disruptive. We’re so glad the town of Christiansted is getting new water main pipes installed. The installation of pipes on our street has been completed. It wasn’t anything we, as a hotel, had any control over at all. The construction was in the way (and we certainly voiced our frustration with the government) but the construction didn’t last long. Glad you liked the property and the communication from the staff. Please consider removing or revising your review now that the construction isn’t a concern. Thanks so much!

We were unfortunate to have Rm 1, which is right by the entrance and opens to the roadside. Rms 1 to 4 are all at that road level. They have minimal light. Our room was dark and couldnt get any fresh air in. No where to dry a swim suit or towel. Not what we wanted on vacation on a sunny island.

Hello Suhithi, The majority of the rooms at the Sugar Apple Bed & Breakfast have great natural light and open up to either the pool or gardens. We do have a few rooms on the lower level that we offer at a lower price because they are smaller and have windows on one wall instead of two or three walls. They are a great choice for travelers looking for good value. All our rooms have air conditioning, smart TVs, a microwave and mini-fridge and you can walk to restaurants and the boardwalk. Room 1 has a newly tiled shower and bathroom floor with towel bars. In the future, please let us know if you are unsatisfied with your room as we can offer to move you to any available room. We want the chance to make sure you have a great experience, too.

Great spot for the price. Very nice people. Lovely breakfast with tortoises roaming around. Good communication if you have any questions/issues. Room is spacious and it was nice having a fridge and a little kitchen area. Bathroom is nice, shower was spacious. Having an open closet with hangers was great. Fan and AC were nice and cold. If you book a queen room ask to not be put in the first one by both gates. It’s loud with people coming in and out. First floor facing the street units you’ll be subject to locals full blast windows down with music. The units further in the property it might not be as bad with street noise. Bed in our room could be improved it was so squeaky and loud when you moved or got up.

I like how it was just walking distance to the boardwalk! Lots of shops, restaurants, ferry that can take you to the beach at hotel on the cay, can book a tour to Buck Island at the boardwalk with Big Beard Tours. Lots of water activities. Only issue was the tv's didnt work even though they are smart tv's. You will have to find a taxi for transportation services if you dont have a rented vehicle. Nice Light Breakfast in the morning with fresh local juice!

This was a lovey property. The rooms were well equipped and clean. Continental breakfast was great with fresh fruit and offerings of bread and cakes. Pool was refreshing. Several outside patios and gardens. Best was all the land turtles in the garden!!

This was almost a last-minute reservation and I’m really glad that we made it. The property was beautiful and so is the room. It had everything we needed in it and was perfect for just staying in the Christiansted area. Natalie was amazing and making sure that we had a great breakfast every morning along with great conversation! I will definitely be working here again!

We loved the pool, the proximity to bars/restaurants, the people, and views. I would however recommend renting a car to get to the best beaches, rainforest, and hikes. Taxi services can get expensive really quick.

This property was THE BESTTTTT! I really loved the room the property and the area! The breakfast options were beautiful! Communication with the manager Natalie was awesome and the full in manager while I was there Kelly was very nice, informative and welcoming. I loved it. I definitely recommend this and have recommended this stay! I will absolutely be bringing my children, family and friends.

Accommodations were wonderful! Clean, neat, organized, communication was timely and located close to the boardwalk/shopping and food. View of the island in the upper cabana was breathtaking. Our kids 9 and 12 enjoyed the pool and feeding the tortoises on property! The best part of the stay was the host Natalie who had a light breakfast prepared every morning poolside with fresh bread, muffins, fruit, coffee and an energetic smile. She interacted with our kids and other guests that made us feel welcome to the small B&B community. She offered excursion ideas and recommendations on restaurants. Thanks for the great hospitality and island experience! Highly recommend Sugar Apple B&B!

We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Apple B&B! Natalie was amazing and had great communication. The property was beautiful and the breakfast was very good. The only issue I had was that some of the lights in the bathroom didn’t work as well as the lamps. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean! Very short walk to the boardwalk with all the great restaurants and shops! Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to make home while visiting. Could walk to boardwalk but also be in local neighborhood area (with a great bakery). Natalie was attentive and nice. Pool for relaxing had sun and shade areas. Yay. Some houses on street in disrepair but you soon realize everyone was friendly.

Nice charming property. Unfortunately, somewhat mismanaged. Examples, got only 1 small towel, no comforter as promised, floor lamp without lamp bulb, dirty cabinets and kitchenette counter. Breakfast was not ready on time which was a bit stressful as we had to drive to an appointment in Fredriksted. Owners should come by to help the manager with things as above.

Better than expected. Having breakfast was a huge bonus and made the trip so much more relaxed and fun. We met other guests and heard about their adventures and where they were from. We got several good tips from the host. Loved how close it is to the boardwalk!!! Less than 100 yards! Nice pool. Mango tree was a bonus and delicious! Car rental across the street. 5 min or less walk to boat adventures. Ready to come back!

This place was so beautiful and so easy to get to anywhere close on St Croix. Manager on site was amazing and communicated so well when changes happened. Had all the information that was needed and very knowledgeable with the area. Breakfast was small but always fresh. The pool is great size for kids and even have Turtle family on site that were a highlight to my children.

Sugar Apple was an extremely positive experience for an 8-night stay. We really enjoyed the ability to have everything within walking distance, and having free on-site parking was a huge bonus! The rooms are recently renovated and the pool was a great perk being downtown! Wifi was really important to us while working remotely, and we had no connectivity issues. We definitely will be back!

The room was very nice and the location was close to the boardwalk/restaurants. The bed was beautiful and comfortable. Our disappointment was in the breakfast part of bed and breakfast. Thought we would have breakfast and it consisted of bread and bagels. We had juice one day and that was it. We had to buy our own milk to have with coffee. It was not covid friendly either because you had to touch everything such as lifting the cover to get bread and touching coffee to have coffee.

My fiancé and I really liked this property. It is located VERY conveniently near the boardwalk (about two minutes walking distance). It was so charming and quaint. Exactly what you expect a bed and breakfast to be. Every morning there was a breakfast setup by the property manager, Natalie. We didn’t get to partake in it because we were constantly on the go :( If you’re looking for a full amenities location this isn’t it. It’s definitely made for the on the go traveler. There is no blow dryer or things like lotion, and bottled water but...the room is equipped with a microwave, sink, fridge, fan, A/C dresser drawers to store clothing, a desk, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, coffee, sugar, and creamer in individual sealed jars, a wall mounted TV that you can sign in with your Netflix account, and a secure lock on the door. The main entrance also requires a secure code to get inside the property. It’s completely gated. I am a local that resides in the states majority of the year and I can tell you this place definitely lived up to my expectations. My only concern is that the bed was more than a bit uncomfortable. It seemed to sink in the middle and the springs creaked a lot. May need some updating in the Mango room. Also there was an empty beer box in the fridge when we got in. Otherwise everything was perfect for us!

Rooms were spacious. Shower and bathroom were dirty. Floors were dirty in our othwr room. They just need to clean better. We reported the conditions and we were told thank you and she would talk to the house cleaning staff. Eh...that really didnt do it for me. Maybe a sorry or is there anything we could do for you. I dunno... something that says sorry you paid so much for dirty rooms. Pool looked like it need shocked or maintenance. Did not even get in it. Likely wont atay here again, which is sad, because it could be a great place.

We love our spacious rooms. Providing a unique guest experience with charming rooms, hidden gardens and a sparkling salt water pool right in town is what draws people to our hotel. We pride ourselves on providing clean and comfortable rooms because that’s what we want when we travel. We take your feedback seriously and it’s very concerning. We’re sorry. Is there anything we can do for you? We’ve had thousands of guests that have had great experiences with clean rooms. We have a thorough checklist for our cleaning staff to use to confirm that each room is completely cleaned. It looks like your stay was an exception to this and we apologize. During your stay our salt-water pool had a filter equipment failure and we did have to shock treat it, replace the filter media and it quickly returned to sparkling clean again. This place was truly quaint and the Location was spot on. Far enough from the boardwalk to not be disturbed by the nightlife noise, yet close enough to walk to restaurants and shops And Hotel on the Cay which is a free beach with service to enjoy. $5 for 2min ferry ride to the Cay.
